Thomas H. Walter gave a 10-bell Meneely (Watervliet) chime to the church in 1874 in memory of his father James R. Walter. The chime was damaged in a 1905 fire and the bells were sent to the Taylor foundry to be used in the new bells.
Twenty-one John Taylor bells were installed and dedicated on November 1, 1929.by Frederick W. Rocke.
Two Taylor bells were added in 2002, two more in 2003 and another in 2004.

It is one of the most notable gifts ever made to the parish, and continues
the memorial which was given in 1873 in a set of ten bells so badly
damaged when the church edifice was destroyed by fire in 1905 that they
could not again be used. They were sent to England and the metal was
used in casting the new ones.
