A 46-bell carillon cast by by Les Fils de Georges Paccard was a gift from William Dudley Gale III in memory of his great-grandfather Bishop Leonidas Polk. The carillon was first played on February 4, 1959 when Arthur Bigelow played "Dixie." Bigelow also played the dedication on April 12, 1959.
The Leonidas Polk Memorial Carillon is located in Shapard Tower of the All Saints Chapel on the university campus.
