Seeing the well-designed tower, Pastor Harding was prompted to secure
twenty-four donors for bells cast in Holland. The largest of the hells
weighs 1,125 lbs. and the smallest only 33 lbs. The “Bells of Joy” were
dedicated on May 3,1964 with Mr. van Bergen’s son, Harry, Jr., playing at
the console. At the time, only 5 other Lutheran Churches in the United
States had carillons.
