Anna McGaffin, widow of former pastor Dr. Alexander McGaffin, died in 1966 and left a bequest for a carillon in his memory. Her daughter Mrs. Harry Smith and friends of the family also contributed.
The carillon 47-bell Eijsbout instrument was dedicated on June 9, 1968 with a recital given by Arie Abbenes
