St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Harlem bought a 40-bell carillon from the van Bergen Bell Foundry in the Netherlands. The carillon was dedicated on December 18, 1949 with a recital given by Dr. Kamiel Lefevere.
Two bells from the same foundry were added in 1951.
