The Culver Military Academy built a new War Memorial Chapel that opened in 1951 and included a carillon of 51 bells that were cast by the Gillett and Johnston Bell Foundry of Croydon, England.

The carillon was donated by the Amon Carter Foundation and was dedicated on October 21, 1951 with a recital given by Kamiel Lefevere.
