Jean "Mitzie" Butz James and the Butz Foundation donated a 48-bell Petit & Fritsen carillon in memory of her father, Theodore C. Butz.
The carillon was
dedicated on October 19, 1986 with a recital given by Wylie Crawford.

One of the few hand-played carillons in North America will be dedicated at
3 p.m. next Sunday at the Chicago Botanic Garden, Glencoe. The Theodore C.
Butz Memorial Carillon's dedication will be accompanied by a concert,
performed by Wylie Crawford, carillonneur of the University of Chicago
Rockefellar Chapel.
