Charles W. L. Foreman and Margaret Foreman donated a 55-bell Petit and Fritsen carillon on which the first official concert on the Foreman Carillon was played by George Matthew, Jr. on Memorial Day 1987.

An outdoor Memorial Day carillon concert will be sponsored by the
Farmington Valley Music Foundation Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Simsbury United
Methodist Church. George Matthew Jr., a carillonneur, will play
traditional folk songs and inspirational and patriotic selections.
Admission is free.
