A 227-foot prefabricated steeple/bell tower was installed to house a 48-bell Petit & Fritsen carillon.
The carillon was dedicated on September 13, 1987 by Richard M. Watson.

Campbellsville has a contract bo build an even bigger steeple for the
First Baptist Church of Huntsville.
That steeple will be 220 feet fall, cost more than $330,000, house a
carillon of bronze bells weighing more than 50,000 pounds, and will have
an elevator and control booth for the carillonneer.
